Progress your practice in tropical paradise!
Spend a week on the gorgeous Darocotan island diving deep into arm balances, inversions and backbends. Each day you will be guided through two yoga practices that will support you to develop the tools to move towards intermediate and advanced postures.
Using the challenge of postures such as handstands, headstands and deep backbends, you will learn to work with body awareness, breath, fear and, most importantly, having a lot of fun! Whilst the morning classes will focus on the journey of advancing your asana, there will be plenty of guided meditation, pranayama and gentle flow/yin classes in the evenings, plus free time to explore and enjoy the incredible island. Expect to leave feeling more balanced, energised, empowered…and flying high! Open to all levels of experience.

Program
Wake up each morning to the sound of the ocean before wandering to the bamboo shala for an energizing morning vinyasa practice.
The morning practices will include:
2 x Backbend workshops (think camel, wheel, forearm wheel, kind pigeon, king dancer)
2 x Arm Balance workshops (think crow variations, koundinyasana, flying pigeon, peacock)
2 x Inversion workshops (forearm stand, headstand and handstand).
During these practices you’ll be guided through an intelligent vinyasa sequence that will prepare your body, mind and breath to fly into advanced asana. We will use partner work as well as the help of props to help you explore your edge in a safe and supportive environment.
After class, enjoy a nourishing breakfast before having free time to relax and enjoy island life. There will also be extra optional workshops as well as private classes throughout the week for those wanting further practice and to get more individual guidance.
In the evenings, wind down with a mellow flow or yin class to nourish and restore the body & mind. In these classes you will also dive into pranayama and meditation practices with a specific focus on finding steadiness and ease to the breath and mind - an important quality when approaching advanced asana.
