Simon Borg-Olivier, MSc, BAppSc (Physiotherapy), APAM c-IAYT, is a well-known figure in the field of yoga and physical therapy. He has studied and taught traditional posture, movement, breathing and meditation, with great masters from Tibet, Japan, India, and China for more than 40 years.

 

Simon is particularly recognized for his deep understanding of the application of anatomical, physiological, and nutritional principles to yoga practice. He co-founded Yoga Synergy, one of Australia’s oldest yoga schools that integrates traditional yoga for the modern body and aims to enhance physical health while fostering spiritual growth.

 

His approach to yoga is highly informed by his academic background in biomedical science and his own physical practice. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New South Wales, with majors in human biology, and a Master of Health Science in Physiotherapy.
